P. Vijaya Krishnan is a Consultant ENT Surgeon and Head of the Department of Snoring & Sleep Disorders at Madras ENT Research Foundation (MERF), Chennai. He also serves as Visiting Professor of ENT at PSP Medical College Hospital & Research Institute and Visiting Faculty at the MERF Institute of Speech & Hearing. With over two decades of experience, he is recognized as one of India's leading experts in Sleep Medicine, Sleep Surgery, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA), and Implantation Otology. He has received advanced training in Norway, Austria, and the USA, and earned a PhD from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University for his research on pediatric obstructive sleep apnoea. He is the Founder Secretary of the Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnoea (IASSA), served as its President from 2022–2026, and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the World Sleep Society. He has authored over 30 scientific publications, trained ENT surgeons and fellows internationally, and is a regular invited faculty at leading global conferences, including IFOS, World Sleep Congress, AAO-HNS, and the International Surgical Sleep Society, contributing significantly to research, education, and surgical innovation in Sleep Medicine and ENT.
