Title: sinus augmentation for rehabilitation of the edentulous maxilla

Abstract

The posterior maxilla is always a challenge for the practitioner because of the presence of the sinus anatomy and sinus pneumatasitation poses a bigger challenge.

Indications for sinus elevation surgery will be reviewed as well as sinus anatomy, surgical techniques, and instrumentation, various augmentation materials required for sinus augmentation surgery. Management of complications will also be discussed.

About Dr. Lanka Mahesh

•Dr. Lanka Mahesh has done his bachelors in Dental surgery, Masters in business Administration and Diploma in Hospital Administration and a diploma in Health and Hospital Management.

•Apart from that Dr. Lanka has also completed his Masters Certificate in Implant Dentistry from UCLA,USA & CUFD, THAILAND.

•He is a visiting professor at the university of Murcia at Spain (UCAM).

•He is also the academic director of post Graduate Education at UCAM, Spain.

•He is an Honorary Visiting Professor at ITS collage of Dentistry, Ghaziabad, UP, India.

•He is Currently pursuing his PhD in Integrated Implantology.

•He is an Honorary Consultant to the ARMED FORCES OF INDIA.

•He is the Editor in chief of THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ORAL IMPLANTOLOGY AND CLINICAL RESEARCH.

•He has lectured globally and has over 188 publications in national and international peer reviewed journals.

•He has trained over 6000 dentists in the field of implantology.
